Community Involvement

2011 Ride to Recovery – May 8th to 13th

• SADB is sponsoring Alf Ianniello in an initiative to support MIND, a leading independent community based organisation working with people with mental illness to get them back into life.
• The Ride to Recovery is a six day, 1000km, supported endurance/relay ride from Melbourne to Adelaide via the Great Ocean Road to Barwon Heads.
• We wish Alf all the best in this physical and mental challenge!

Joel Beattie – Competitive Rifle Shooting

• SADB is sponsoring Joel Beattie in his disciplines of 50m Rifle (Prone) and 10m Rifle (Air).
• Having commenced competitive target shooting in April 2007, Joel has gone from strength to strength winning numerous medals at State and National levels
• Highlights include being  selected for the Australian team that contested the 2010 ISSF Oceanic Championships where he achieved 2nd place in the Teams 50m Junior Men’s Prone, ranking 27th in the AISL ranking in the Open category (seniors and juniors combined) and 1st in the U17’s.
• We wish Joel all the best in his Olympic and Commonwealth dreams!

Parks and Leisure Australia

Waterproofing the North – Water Management

• SADB is proud to be a part of and a Support Sponsor of the “Technical Tour #3 for Parks and Leisure National Conference 2010”
• The tour looked at 2 key sites, Stebonheath Park (City of Playford) and the Watershed Sustainability Precinct (Greenfield Wetland, City of Salisbury). Both sites SADB has had significant construction development involvement on and will be keen to continue to actively be involved with both Councils in future water management developments.

Burnside Rugby Union Football Club

• SADB has been a major sponsor of the Burnside Rugby Union Football Club for over 15 years. We assist in the development of the women’s rugby team, as well as the 8-18 year old junior’s team.

Newton Jaguars Netball Club

• The Newton Jaguars Netball Club was formed in 1986 and is one of ten
  State League teams, which boasts current and former National League player.
• Over their short history they have developed a proud reputation as a strong family oriented club that provides the opportunity for players of all abilities to develop and play at the highest level over the ensuing years.
• In March 2010, SADB became a proud team sponsor of the Newton Jaguars C5 handicap team.

Laura Hester– Olympics IX Games

• SADB is proud to be a sponsor of Laura at the Special Olympics Australia IX National Games in Adelaide from 19 – 24 April 2010.
• Laura is a shining example of determination that has evolved into winning success and an opportunity to be an ambassador for SOSA.
